This dress with a bell-skirt was inspired by one that was worn by Eva Mendes. The crochet pattern in this miniature version is similar to one that Dolce & Gabbana used in their collection.

Petite runway: Inspired by Michael Kors
The dress from Michael Kors resort collection was described in a retail store as a "fabulous retro-inspired dress with flowery crochet trims, long bell sleeves and flared hem ... ".
It reminds me of 60-s and 70-s crochet fashion.

Daisy dress
This miniature dress has crochet floral applique on the front. There is no need for lining because of a cool combination of lacy sheer and solid panels.
Petite runway: Inspired by Chanel
Here is my version of the famous Chanel White Crochet Grape Vine Motif top. Crochet filet net, crochet applique motifs (all from cotton yarn).

Crochet summer top
This Barbie's top is based on a crochet pattern that goes online as "cosmo". It became popular among lace makers after an appearance of a white crochet dress on a "Cosmopolitan" cover. I also was tempted to crochet a similar summer frock (which used to be my favorite). This airy design is perfect for summer outfits and it seems never to be out of date. You can see pineapple motifs in resort collections every year. It was interesting to repeat something like it for a Barbie.
Petite runway: Inspired by Stella McCartney
This bohemian look for Barbie silkstone was inspired by Stella's McCartney crocheted Daisy dress. I love its asymmetric skirt with a train on the side. It reminds a lot of Edwardian Irish lace gowns. The daisy motif is popular in crochet so i had no trouble to find a similar pattern. It is handmade from cotton yarn (top lace) and nylon knit fabric (lining). The dress fits other fashion dolls.
